Sa’ada - SABA:

The Shada Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Association was officially launched today in the border district of Shada in Saada Governorate, under the supervision of the local leadership, with support from the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit, and in coordination with the Agriculture Sector, the Office of Social Affairs and Labor, and the Bonyan Development Foundation.

During the founding meeting, organized by the preparatory committee and local authorities in Shada, the association’s bylaws were approved, and its administrative board and oversight and inspection committee were elected.

Director of the Shada District, Ali Rawthan, and the Director of the Office of Social Affairs and Labor in the governorate, Sultan Rashid, attended the event. Rashid emphasized the importance of establishing this multipurpose agricultural cooperative in Shada, describing it as a genuine starting point for cooperative developmental work.

He noted that cooperative associations are expected to play a key role in coordinating resources and efforts to serve development goals, improve services, and meet the aspirations of the local population—especially in the border district of Shada.

Rawthan stated that a new plan and unified mechanism to develop cooperative work has been approved in coordination between the Ministry of Local Administration, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Agricultural Committee, and the Bonyan Foundation.
