Gaza – SABA:
The Palestinian Ahrar Movement condemned the Israeli assaults on the Freedom Flotilla ships, particularly the latest attack on the “Handala” vessel in international waters last night, calling it an act of piracy and a blatant violation of international maritime law.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the movement described the assault on “Handala” as a continuation of Nazi-style policies to tighten the siege on Gaza and enforce systematic starvation—defying the International Court of Justice’s ruling requiring measures to ensure the safety and dignity of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The movement denounced the aggression as a barbaric war crime and held the Israeli occupation and its fascist government fully responsible for the lives and safety of the crew and passengers aboard the Handala ship.
It called on the international community to pressure Israel into immediately releasing the activists on board and ensuring their safe return.
The Ahrar Movement also urged the United Nations, the Security Council, and all legal institutions to take international legal action against this criminal act of piracy, to prosecute the Israeli regime and its Nazi-like leaders for war crimes, and to ensure they do not escape accountability.
