E-M Monitor: Aid airdrops humiliating, not addressing Gaza starvation
[27/ July/2025]

Geneva - Saba:

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said the airdrops of humanitarian supplies are humiliating and do not address the starvation situation in Gaza, and that land corridors leading to the Strip must be opened to allow sufficient supplies to enter.

The Monitor explained, in a statement last night, that the airdrops of aid are another episode in the humiliation of Palestinians, the violation of their dignity, and the engineering of starvation to serve Israeli political and military objectives. He stressed that this approach poses a real risk to the lives of civilians, given their overcrowding in an area that constitutes less than 15% of the Gaza Strip.

The Observatory continued: "After months of harsh starvation, the airdrops do not provide the minimum humanitarian needs and do not address the catastrophic situation resulting from Israel's deliberate starvation policy."

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor warned against manipulation aimed at easing international pressure, which has begun to mount over the starvation policy and the resulting catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, which has officially recorded 55 deaths as a result of starvation in one week.
