UK Rights Org Chief: Gaza faces deliberate starvation, unprecedented genocide
[27/ July/2025]
London - Saba:

Head of the Arab Organization for Human Rights in Britain Mohamed Jamil described the situation in Gaza as a “deliberate and systematic starvation campaign” against a defenseless population, labeling it an unprecedented form of genocide in modern history.

In remarks to Shehab News Agency, Jamil accused the international community of watching passively and abandoning moral responsibility, while placing primary blame on the United States as the chief sponsor of the blockade. He criticized Arab governments—particularly Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE—for remaining silent and complicit.

Jamil urged Arab and Muslim societies to mobilize pressure on their governments and warned that history would not absolve those who remain indifferent as Gaza’s civilians, including over 900,000 hungry children, suffer under siege.

According to UNRWA, child malnutrition in Gaza has doubled in recent months, with Israel’s ongoing military campaign—backed by U.S. and European support—killing nearly 60,000 civilians, most of them women and children, since October 2023. Thousands more remain trapped under rubble and inaccessible to rescue crews.
