The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Sunday, that its air defense forces destroyed 99 Ukrainian UAVs overnight over several regions in the country.
The Sputnik news agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: "During the night, from 21:50 Moscow time on July 26 until 05:20 Moscow time on July 27, air defense warning systems destroyed and intercepted 99 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles: 36 over the territory of Bryansk Oblast, 21 over the territory of Smolensk Oblast, 10 UAVs were destroyed over Kaluga Oblast, and 9 over the territories of Volgograd and Rostov Oblasts."
The statement added: "Four UAVs were shot down over the territory of Crimea, two over the territories of Voronezh and Kursk Oblasts and over the Black Sea basin, and one over each of the territories of Moscow Region, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol, and Tambov."
Kyiv uses attack drones and artillery shelling against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Russia.
In response, Russian forces target only Ukrainian military infrastructure, as well as facilities of the military-industrial complex and everything related to the storage, repair, or manufacture of military equipment, in addition to gatherings of Ukrainian armed forces personnel and foreign mercenaries.
