The Saber Al-Mawadem Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Association was officially inaugurated on Saturday in the Saber Al-Mawadem District of Taiz Governorate.
The founding meeting of the association, organized by the preparatory committee under the supervision of the local authority in the governorate, was held in cooperation with the leadership of the Fourth Military Region and the mobilization unit, with support from the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit. The event was also coordinated with the Agriculture Sector, the Office of Social Affairs and Labor, and the Bonyan Development Foundation.
During the meeting, the association’s bylaws were approved, and the administrative board along with the oversight and inspection committee were elected.
In attendance was Deputy Governor Mohammed Al-Husseini. Meanwhile, Deputy Governor for Development Affairs, Abdulwasa Al-Shamsi, emphasized the importance of establishing cooperative associations across Taiz districts to advance the cooperative development sector.
He underlined the critical role these associations are expected to play in driving development efforts, improving services, and addressing the aspirations of local communities.
Agricultural Sector Official Eng. Abdullah Al-Jundi, Deputy Director of Social Affairs Qaed Al-Nahal, and Director of the Cooperative Union Branch Amer Al-Ahdal highlighted the extensive preparatory efforts made to establish the cooperative association for the residents of Saber Al-Mawadem.
They called on members of the association to actively engage in fulfilling their responsibilities to strengthen agricultural cooperation in the district in line with national priorities and leadership directives.
