The Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council has officially granted national programmatic academic accreditation to the Pharmacy Program at Al-Nasser University.
During the official announcement ceremony, Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Hassan Al-Saadi, congratulated the university on obtaining the accreditation. He highlighted the significance of the pharmacy field in contributing to national pharmaceutical security and praised the university’s efforts in improving performance and aligning with advancements in the sector.
Al-Saadi emphasized that this achievement reflects the broader progress made by the Accreditation Council and encouraged other universities to pursue national accreditation to ensure educational quality standards in line with global benchmarks.
Council Chairman Dr. Ahmed Al-Hahboob and Secretary-General Dr. Mohammed Dhaifallah stressed that academic accreditation is a key guarantee for enhancing educational quality and aligning graduates with labor market needs. They described accreditation as a national priority that paves the way for international recognition.
President of Al-Nasser University, Dr. Nasser Al-Mowafri, affirmed the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and its intent to seek accreditation for additional programs.
Meanwhile, Dr. Huda Al-Sanhani, Director of Accreditation and Licensing, and national expert Dr. No’man Fayrouz outlined the multi-stage process of accreditation for the Pharmacy Program, including technical support, self-assessment, external review, site visits, and final approval.
