A Hebrew-language investigation has revealed that the Israeli occupation forces are deliberately targeting civilians and rescue teams in Gaza through a method known as the “double-tap strike.”
According to the investigation published by the Hebrew website Siha Mekomit, based on testimonies from Israeli soldiers and officers, the occupation forces intentionally bomb a civilian target, then strike the same location again as soon as rescue teams arrive, aiming to inflict the highest possible casualties among medics and civilians.
The investigation confirmed that this practice is routine, carried out using drones, and has contributed to acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip, in complete disregard for the laws of war and international norms.
International organizations, eyewitnesses, and camera footage have documented that the Israeli occupation does not differentiate between civilians and fighters. Israel’s killing machinery targets anyone within sight—including medics wearing clearly marked medical vests and journalists, both of whom are protected under international humanitarian law.
This investigation comes amid growing international demands for urgent inquiries into the genocidal crimes committed by the Israeli leadership against the entire population of Gaza, including systematic starvation and water deprivation that have left the people facing hunger and severe malnutrition.
