The Preparatory Committee for celebrating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) held a meeting in Sana’a, chaired by Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi, to discuss preparations for the 1447 AH commemoration.
The meeting included senior government officials, ministers, and representatives from various ministries and public agencies.
The committee reviewed all aspects of organizing the celebration, both at the official and popular levels. Discussions focused on responsibilities for central and local service units, ensuring coordinated efforts across ministries, the Capital Secretariat, and governorates. The goal is to create a comprehensive plan emphasizing public mobilization, spiritual motivation, and national resilience.
The committee stressed the importance of integrating charitable activities, social solidarity, and support for the families of martyrs, the wounded, frontline fighters, the poor, and displaced people, to reflect the humanitarian and ethical values of the occasion.
The Prime Minister’s Office was tasked with drafting a general celebration plan in coordination with all relevant bodies, to be reviewed in the next meeting.
Prime Minister Al-Rahwi underscored the spiritual significance of the Prophet’s birthday for the Yemeni people and called for a dignified celebration, building on the momentum of previous years. He highlighted Yemen’s resilience in the face of enemies and its strategic achievements, especially in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
He also pointed out the importance of involving the private sector in the celebration to reinforce the event’s humanitarian and moral dimensions.
