Hajjah - Saba:
The Women’s Development Department in the Office of Hajjah governorate, in cooperation with Umm al-Mu’minin Khadija School in the city center, organized a commemorative event and a solidarity rally on Saturday to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Zaid (peace be upon him) and to show support for the people of Gaza.
In her speech at the event, Director of the Women’s Development Department, Ayah al-Hamzi, stressed the importance of drawing lessons from the life of Imam Zaid in terms of sacrifice, piety, asceticism, courage, and standing with the oppressed and against tyrants.
Al-Hamzi described Imam Zaid's revolution as an inspiration to the free and revolutionary people of the world, highlighting his deep sense of responsibility in defending the oppressed.
Al-Hamzi also praised the firm stance of Yemen’s leadership, people, and armed forces in supporting the people of Gaza and defending al-Aqsa Mosque. She emphasized that these positions stem from the Yemeni people's adherence to the Holy Qur’an, the Prophetic path, and the teachings of Imam Zayd, Ahl al-Bayt, and the guides of righteousness.
The event featured expressive chants and powerful poems.
Following the event, a solidarity rally was held under the slogan “We Will Not Remain Silent in the Face of Gaza’s Genocide and the Desecration of the Ummah and Its Sanctities.”
During the rally, participants held the United States, Israel, and the normalization regimes fully responsible for the horrific crimes committed by the Zionist entity against women and children in Gaza.
They called on free women around the world to stand in solidarity with the oppressed in Gaza and to pressure governments to halt the massacres and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The participants affirmed their continued support for the Palestinian people and their courageous resistance—through financial contributions, exposing Zionist crimes, and boycotting American, Israeli, and affiliated products.
