Taher al-Nunu, media advisor to the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), confirmed on Friday evening that the ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip are proceeding positively and that the American statements are unjustified.Al-Nunu said in statements that the American position is surprising in light of the progress achieved in the negotiations.
He pointed out that the issue of prisoners has not yet been discussed and was supposed to be discussed next week.
The Hamas leader confirmed that the negotiations witnessed significant convergence regarding the maps for the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
Al-Nunu noted that his movement was not informed of any problems regarding any issue during the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza.
Al-Nunu stressed that the recent negative Israeli statements are an attempt to evade the results of the negotiations.
Leader Taher Al-Nunu explained that Hamas is ready to complete the negotiations and is serious about reaching an agreement to end the war on Gaza.
