Tehran - Saba:

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the need to strengthen relations with neighboring countries and, secondly, to strengthen relations with other countries, including Russia and China.

Iran's Mehr News Agency reported on Saturday that the Iranian president's emphasis came on the sidelines of a meeting with deputies and directors of the Iranian Foreign Ministry. Pezeshkian told reporters, referring to the performance of the diplomatic corps during the 12 days of war, "We came here to thank our brothers and sisters."

He continued, "The enemies came with all their might and tried to force the country to surrender, but we witnessed a brave defense in the war, and the people performed well."

Pezeshkian said, "The result of this action was the condemnation of this aggression by all international organizations, except the United Nations, which was not achieved easily but rather through communications. Israel initiated something wrong according to the law."

Pzeshkian added, "The armed forces are one side, and diplomacy is the other. Through coordination and the policies we adopt, we will first strengthen our relations with our neighbors, and then strengthen our relations with other countries, including Russia, China, and others, with equal priority."

Pzeshkian, paying tribute to the martyr Amir Abdollahian, emphasized, "I thank Araqchi, who followed up on the issues day and night. God willing, we will move forward with unity and cohesion. We also appreciate the support of Iranians abroad for Iran."
