The Yemeni Scholars Association mourned the passing of Sheikh Ibrahim Abdullah Muhammad al-Murtada, who passed away at the age of 95. He spent his time in knowledge and teaching beneficial and authentic Islamic sciences related to the two weighty things and in harmony with the authentic faith identity.
The obituary explained that the deceased grew up and studied in the city of al-Soudah in Amran Governorate under the tutelage of his father, his older brother Sharaf bin Abdullah al-Murtada, and the scholar Zaid Ashish.
It indicated that the deceased was the imam of the Great Mosque in al-Soudah and continued teaching there, moving on to the Qais School. He also served as a preacher at Jabal Sayyid Mosque for fifty years. He was a mufti, teacher, and educator, and was one of those who enjoined virtue and forbade vice, standing up to aggression against the homeland.
