Ali Baraka, head of the National Relations Department of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) abroad, responded to US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy for Peace Steve Witkoff's accusation that the movement lacks the will to reach an agreement regarding the Gaza Strip on Thursday evening.
Baraka tweeted on his official Twitter account that US Envoy Witkoff adopts the position of the "Israeli" enemy and speaks on its behalf.
He added: "Therefore, he is an accomplice in its crimes against the besieged Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and bears full responsibility for the ongoing crime of genocide and starvation."
The humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip is worsening at an unprecedented rate, with the crossings completely closed for more than 140 days, despite a previous ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement, which the enemy forces have disavowed.
