The Sultanate of Oman condemned in the strongest terms on Thursday the Israeli Knesset's approval of a draft resolution calling for the imposition of Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank in Palestine.
This constitutes a new challenge to international law and international legitimacy resolutions and a deliberate undermining of the prospects for peace in the Middle East and the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination.
In a statement issued by the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Sultanate today reiterated its strong condemnation of Israel's continued imposition of a policy of blockade and starvation, preventing the delivery of food, medicine, and humanitarian aid to the population in the Gaza Strip and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories.
It holds Israel and its supporters fully responsible for the legal, humanitarian, and political consequences of these practices, which violate international humanitarian law.
