Gaza – SABA:
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday the shutdown of several healthcare facilities in the territory, following repeated warnings.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the ministry attributed the closures to the Israeli occupation’s ongoing refusal to allow the World Health Organization (WHO) to deliver fuel to hospitals in Gaza and the northern areas.
The statement read: “After repeated warnings, we announce the cessation of services at the following health facilities: Public Service Hospital, Central Oxygen Station, Al-Salam Clinic, Al-Shati Clinic, Al-Jalaa Medical Center, and the Haidar Abdul Shafi Medical Center. This is due to the occupation’s insistence on preventing the WHO from delivering fuel to hospitals in Gaza and the north.”
The ministry warned that all remaining hospitals may be forced to halt their operations within just 48 hours, pointing to Israel’s deliberate targeting of the remaining healthcare infrastructure by blocking fuel and medical supply deliveries.
