21 newly trained midwives have begun work in Marib governorate after completing a three-year diploma program in midwifery.
The midwives were distributed to health facilities in the most needy areas.
Deputy Health Minister Dr Najeeb Al-Qubati emphasized the vital role of midwives in reducing maternal and newborn mortality rates stressing the need to apply their training and develop their skills.
He noted that midwife training remains a ministry priority to address shortages in remote areas.
The Marib Health Office director highlighted the importance of translating education into practical improvements in health services.
The graduates expressed gratitude for the ministry's support and affirmed their commitment to serving rural communities.
