Shuhada al-Aqsa Hospital in the central Gaza Strip warned on Sunday of an imminent halt to its operations in the coming hours due to a complete depletion of fuel, amid a continued lack of supply in recent days.

In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the hospital said this shutdown would endanger the lives of hundreds of patients, particularly children, newborns, intensive care patients, kidney patients, and those in critical wards. It also threatens to cut off healthcare services for nearly half a million residents in the central governorate.

The hospital called on the international community, UN agencies, and humanitarian organizations to intervene urgently to secure the necessary fuel and ensure the continuation of medical services amid the rapid collapse of the healthcare system.
