Quds - Saba:

The Grand Mufti of Quds and the Palestinian Territories, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, affirmed that uniting and cooperating to save lives in Gaza is a fundamental religious obligation, given the catastrophic humanitarian conditions in the besieged Strip.

Speaking to Sanad News Agency on Sunday, the Mufti stated: “In light of the difficult and harsh conditions our people in Gaza and other Palestinian territories are enduring, there is an urgent need for a genuine uprising from Arabs, Muslims, and all free people of the world to save lives and uphold the dignity granted by God to every human being.”

He stressed that both religious and humanitarian duties require everyone to respond to the call and act in ways that preserve human life, which he described as “one of the five essential objectives upon which Islamic law is built and which it seeks to protect and preserve.”

Sheikh Hussein considered inaction during such times to be a violation of the mercy, justice, and humanity that God has ordained for His creation.

He called on all governments, peoples, and institutions to “act seriously and urgently, and to provide all forms of support and assistance to our people in Gaza, in order to preserve their lives and dignity, and in compliance with the commands of our noble religion.”

Residents of Gaza are facing an actual famine following the enemy’s closure of the Strip’s border crossings in early March, and the imposition of severe restrictions on the entry of food, aid, fuel, and medicine—part of an ongoing genocide that has persisted for 21 months.
