The province of Saada witnessed nine massive popular rallies today in commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Zayd ibn Ali (peace be upon them).
In rallies held in the provincial capital and various districts, participants raised slogans reaffirming their commitment to the path of Imam Zayd in confronting tyrants and arrogant powers.
They emphasized that the Yemeni people will continue to support Gaza, whose children are starving before the eyes and ears of the Islamic Ummah, and that they will not remain silent—acting instead based on the teachings of the Qur’an and under the guidance of the leaders of truth.
During the central rally in the city of Saada, attended by local leadership, scholar Muhammad Al-Mo’ayyadi delivered a speech highlighting key aspects of Imam Zayd’s personality, his life of struggle, and his blessed revolution. He described Imam Zayd’s faith, wisdom, and awareness, noting that he was dubbed in his time “The Ally of the Qur’an.”
Al-Mo’ayyadi addressed the objectives that drove Imam Zayd, which centered on guiding the Ummah, reforming its affairs, and rescuing it from misguidance and deceivers. He aimed to return it to the correct path after it had been led astray by the tyrants of the Umayyad dynasty, who collaborated with corrupt scholars to distort the principles of Islam in order to dominate and subjugate the Ummah.
He stated, “Imam Zayd acted out of his protective zeal for the religion of God and for the Ummah of his grandfather, the Messenger of God, fully understanding the necessity of jihad, enjoining good, and forbidding evil as fundamental elements of the religion. He derived from the Qur’an an essential principle that the Ummah desperately needs today.”
He further asserted that the Ummah will be held accountable for what is happening to the people of Palestine, pointing out that the Yemeni people are moved by the Qur’an in response to the oppression of Gaza and the horrific crimes committed by the Zionist enemy day and night, in addition to the deliberate starvation campaign being waged.
