The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) affirmed that the brutal massacre committed by the Zionist enemy against dozens of Palestinian civilians in northern Gaza today, Sunday, represents a new form of using hunger as a tool in the escalating genocide campaign against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the PFLP explained that the massacre targeted a large group of civilians in the northwestern part of the Strip who had gathered in search of food and were waiting for the arrival of any aid. The Zionist enemy then forced them into one of its military checkpoints with their hands raised before opening fire on them, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries. The fate of many others remains unknown.
The Front pointed out that this continued escalation in the level of Zionist genocidal brutality is a direct result of Western colonial support, led by the administration of Donald Trump and aided by governments of European Union countries, amid widespread international complicity and Arab inaction that has reached the point of partnership in the war of genocide and starvation against the Palestinian people.
It stated that the deadly starvation policy has already pushed hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza to the brink of death by hunger, while the rest of the population is being driven toward the same fate within days. This, it warned, will go down in history as one of the most horrific acts of mass killing allowed by a living generation in modern times.
The PFLP called for a sweeping global uprising against this international complicity in the genocide and its tools, appealing to the free people of the world to urgently mobilize against their governments’ involvement.
The group reiterated that seasonal solidarity, constrained by the limits set by colonial governments complicit in the genocide, is no longer sufficient after two years of ongoing extermination.
