Tunis - Saba:
Dozens of Tunisians held a protest on Saturday evening in front of the Municipal Theatre in downtown Tunis, in solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip who have been subjected to genocide for the past 21 months.
The protest was organized at the invitation of the "Friends of Palestine Association," with participants raising slogans demanding an end to the killing and starvation, and calling for the lifting of the Israeli blockade on Gaza.
Murad Al-Yaakoubi, a member of the Friends of Palestine Association, told Anadolu Agency on the sidelines of the protest that "the situation in Gaza is extremely dire, amid worsening famine, a suffocating blockade, and slow killing taking place with the complicity of major powers."
Al-Yaakoubi added: "Famine in Gaza is advancing steadily and rapidly, and people are on the brink of death—this is no exaggeration. Many have already died from hunger."
He noted that "this protest has sadly become a weekly tradition, as it serves as a constant reminder of the ongoing injustice in Gaza, especially in the face of a great wave of betrayal."
He emphasized that the association will continue organizing such protests in support of Gaza, affirming that they feel wide support from Tunisians, including children.
