
Tehran - Saba:
A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck the Fazel Abad area in Aliabad-e-Katul city, located in Golestan Province in northeastern Iran, early Sunday morning. No reports of material damage or casualties have been issued so far.
According to the Seismological Center of the Institute of Geophysics at the University of Tehran, as reported by IRNA, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers below the earth’s surface. Its epicenter was located at a longitude of 54.83 and a latitude of 36.7, near the border between Golestan and Semnan provinces.
