Moscow Mayor Announces Repelling Ukrainian Drones Attack on Russian Capital

Moscow - Saba:
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced that an attempted Ukrainian drones attack on the Russian capital was repelled early Sunday morning.

In posts on his official Telegram account, as reported by the Russian channel RT, Sobyanin stated that a total of 15 Ukrainian drones aimed at the capital were destroyed.

At the same time, the Governor of Russia’s Tula region, Dmitry Milyayev, also announced that a drone attack targeting the region had been intercepted.

A drone attack alert was also issued in the Ivanovo region in the early hours of Sunday.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 40 Ukrainian drones were shot down over various Russian regions between 8:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Moscow time on Saturday.

The ministry clarified that 21 drones were downed over Bryansk region, 9 over Kaluga region, and 4 over Moscow region — including two that were heading directly toward the capital.

Additionally, two drones were intercepted over the Kursk region, two over the Black Sea, and one drone each over the Tula and Belgorod regions.
