Ibb – Saba:
Authorities in Ibb province have launched a joint campaign to remove makeshift stalls, debris, and sediment from rainwater drainage paths in al-Mashannah district, following heavy rainfall on Friday.
The three-day campaign is being carried out by the Public Works Office in cooperation with the Cleaning and Improvement Fund and the Traffic Police.
During the campaign's launch, attended by local officials, Engineer Ibrahim al-Shami, Director of the Public Works Office, said the effort is part of the local authority’s plan to address flood-related damages.
Al-Shami confirmed that emergency teams are actively clearing waste and reopening drainage channels in Taiz Street and other areas. He praised the governorate leadership’s support in facilitating the campaign and providing the necessary resources.
Adel Omar, Director of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund, emphasized the need for public support due to Ibb's terrain, which contributes to debris buildup after storms.
