Local authorities in Hajjah launched on Saturday the implementation of value chains for 18 key agricultural and livestock products across four model districts: Abs, Khayran al-Muharraq, Bakil al-Mir, and Bani Qais.
The workshop, held under the supervision of relevant ministries, aimed to introduce the value chain plan to boost local production, reduce imports, and achieve self-sufficiency.
Officials emphasized coordination between government, communities, and the private sector, and called for strengthening cooperatives and improving marketing and production capacities.
