Sana’a – SABA
Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi met today with the Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shaiban.
The meeting discussed several topics related to the Ministry’s service-related activities and its affiliated health units, as well as ways to continuously improve the quality of medical and therapeutic services provided to patients by both public and private health institutions.
Discussions also addressed the Ministry’s environmental efforts and the importance of strengthening coordination with relevant entities to improve environmental conditions and promote environmental awareness—given the direct and significant impact of a clean environment on public health.
Prime Minister Al-Rahwi praised the Ministry’s achievements in implementing the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council, particularly with regard to providing free medical and therapeutic services, starting with the Republican Teaching Hospital Authority in the capital, Sana’a.
He emphasized the importance of gradually and carefully expanding this approach to other public health facilities to ensure sustainable and consistent service delivery to citizens.
Al-Rahwi also stressed the need for the Ministry of Health and Environment to coordinate closely with local authorities in the capital and the governorates on environment-related projects, and to intensify awareness campaigns through various media and guidance platforms. He highlighted the shared responsibility of both official institutions and citizens in protecting the environment.
