Manila - Saba:
A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck the province of Cagayan in northern Philippines on Saturday, with no immediate reports of casualties or property damage.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported that the quake was centered about 13 kilometers northeast of Dalupiri Island, in the municipality of Calayan, Cagayan. It occurred at a shallow depth of just 10 kilometers beneath the surface.
PHIVOLCS has urged residents to remain cautious and prepare for possible aftershocks.
