Ibb Governorate's Community Initiatives Department received on Wednesday a community-implemented road paving project for parts of Al-Bahreen–Balad Shar road in Rural Ibb district, at a total cost of 38 million riyals funded by the local authority and residents.
During the handover, Province Undersecretary Qassem al-Masawa praised the community’s role in achieving sustainable development and reaffirmed the governorate's commitment to addressing service needs, especially in remote rural areas.
Project Director Eng. Bandar al-Ahdal stated that the 385-square-meter project connects five sub-districts to the governorate center, with 23 million riyals funded by the local authority and 15 million by the local community. He stressed the importance of road projects in improving livelihoods and access to services.
