Lebanese Hezbollah strongly condemned the horrific massacre committed by the Zionist enemy on Tuesday in the Wadi Faara area of Northern Bekaa, targeting Lebanese and Syrian civilians by striking a water well excavator. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of 12 people, including seven Syrians, and left several others wounded.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), Hezbollah described this grave assault as a significant escalation in the ongoing aggression against Lebanon and its people. It reaffirmed the criminal nature of the enemy, which disregards international laws and conventions and does not hesitate to commit massacres against innocent civilians.
The statement emphasized that the Lebanese state, with all its institutions, must break its futile silence and take immediate, serious, and decisive action to hold international parties—particularly the guarantor states, foremost the United States—accountable for their responsibilities. The U.S., as a guarantor of the ceasefire agreement, has evaded its obligations and instead advanced initiatives that serve only the interests and security of the Israeli enemy.
Hezbollah pointed out that the U.S. attempts to deceive the Lebanese people by portraying itself as a supporter of Lebanon’s stability, security, and unity, while in reality, it unleashes this savage Zionist enemy to wreak destruction and death across Lebanon.
The party warned that the continued absence of an official, firm, and effective stance, along with ongoing neglect and inaction at the international level, will only lead to further escalation and aggression.
Concluding its statement, Hezbollah affirmed: "This criminal Zionist enemy seeks to pressure national will through bloodshed and fire, but the resilient Lebanese people—who have never accepted humiliation—will grow even more steadfast, resolute, and committed to their resistance as a necessary choice to confront the enemy, curb its aggression, and safeguard Lebanon’s dignity and sovereignty."
