Taiz - Saba:

The Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in Taiz governorate, in cooperation with the Executive Unit for Information and Systems at the Ministry of Finance, officially launched a unified accounting system and electronic revenue collection platform on Tuesday.

Speaking at the inauguration, Acting governor of Taiz Ahmed al-Masawa underscored the importance of the new system in streamlining revenue management, improving financial oversight, and resolving long-standing issues related to remittances.

Al-Masawa called on all stakeholders to take responsibility in enhancing institutional performance, especially in light of the ongoing challenges the country faces due to the aggression and blockade. He emphasized the need to boost local revenues, noting their critical role in implementing essential service projects across the governorate.

Engineers Abdullah Margham and Mohammad Nejad from the Ministry of Finance’s Executive Information Unit outlined the ministry’s broader plan to digitize all financial procedures and fee collection mechanisms under an integrated electronic system. The initiative aims to save time, reduce operational costs, and enhance transparency.

They added that the system will help eliminate the issue of cash accumulation by tax collectors and will contribute significantly to improving revenue flows.
