Occupied Quds - Saba:

On Tuesday, the Israeli occupation court extended the detention of Qudsi prisoner Tasneem Barakat Odeh until September 18. She was released as part of the "Flood of Freedom" deal, but was re-arrested in December 2024 and charged with incitement.

Odeh appeared in court with her hands and feet shackled and led to the prison by Israeli soldiers, showing signs of exhaustion and fatigue.

It is worth noting that the Israeli occupation issued an arbitrary decision to deport her from Quds and deprive her of her family, along with two other Qudsi prisoners released in the exchange deal.

Tasneem had sent a letter from the Damon prison, expressing her longing for freedom, her mother, and food. She stated that female prisoners are subjected to severe pressure and hurtful language from the prison guards.

She explained that she is being held in Room 10 of Al-Damon Prison with six other female prisoners under harsh conditions. She dreamed of becoming a lawyer, but her detention prevented her from completing her graduation project, which was scheduled for last January.

The total number of prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons is approximately 10,800. This number does not include those held in Israeli military camps. This figure represents the highest number of prisoners and detainees since the Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000, based on documentary data available to institutions.

The number of female prisoners in Israeli prisons is (50), including two from Gaza, while the number of child prisoners is more than (450).

As of the beginning of July, the number of administrative detainees reached (3,629), the highest percentage compared to the number of prisoners and detainees under arrest, convicted, or classified as "unlawful combatants."
