[14/ July/2025]

Sana'a - Saba:

The General Mobilization of the Women's Committee in the Capital Municipality organized an expanded meeting to launch the activities and events commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Zayd ibn Ali for the year 1447 AH, under the slogan "Insight and Jihad."

During the meeting, the General Mobilization Officer at the Municipality, Ibtisam Al-Mahtoori, emphasized the importance of commemorating this anniversary to draw lessons and morals from Imam Zayd's revolution and his sacrifice in confronting tyranny and the arrogant.

She explained that Imam Zayd was an ally of the Holy Quran and launched a revolution against tyranny and arrogance, based on his saying, "By God, the Book of God does not permit me to remain silent."

She pointed to the injustice that befell the nation after the martyrdom of Imam Zayd and the stubbornness of tyrants in confronting the great imams and leaders of Islam from the family of the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).

Al-Mahtoori urged everyone to follow Imam Zayd's example and to act, just as he did, with awareness and insight, as he was a leader of free revolutionaries and a unifying figure.

For her part, Hanan Al-Izzi, head of the Cultural Unit at the Women's Authority, reviewed the guidelines for commemorating this anniversary through holding seminars, events, and cultural and awareness-raising sessions in mosques, schools, and across all governorates. These sessions aim to strengthen the connection to the faith identity and correct the false cultures and destructive ideas propagated by the enemies of the nation.

She stated that Imam Zayd was distinguished by his piety, faith, and fear of God Almighty, his penetrating understanding and close connection to the Holy Quran, and his intense commitment to reforming the nation's reality, establishing justice, and confronting injustice, tyranny, and corruption.

The meeting included a review of excerpts from lectures by the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, about the jihad and sacrifices of the imams and leaders of Islam from the family of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), in confronting tyrants.
