Tehran - Saba:
Iranian media reported that the Zionist enemy targeted a meeting of Iran's Supreme National Security Council on June 15, attended by the heads of the three branches of government and other senior officials, with the aim of assassinating them, but the attack failed miserably.
Fars News Agency reported new details about the "cowardly" Israeli attack that targeted a meeting of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, which included the heads of the three branches of government, during the first days of the Israeli aggression on Iran.
The agency reported that the attack, which occurred before noon on Monday, June 15, targeted a meeting of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, attended by the heads of the three branches of government and other senior officials, held on the lower floors of a building in western Tehran.
It continued: "This attack was designed in a manner similar to the assassination of Martyr Hassan Nasrallah. Six bombs or missiles were used in this attack, targeting the building's entrances and exits to block off the exits and cut off airflow."
It added: "After the explosions, the power was cut off on the aforementioned floor, but the assembled officials were able to exit the building using a pre-prepared emergency hatch. Some officials sustained minor injuries to their feet during the exit, including Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian."
The agency indicated that, given the accuracy of the enemy's intelligence regarding this attack, the possibility of infiltrating agents is being investigated. It emphasized that this incident demonstrates that the enemy is using all possible means, including the assassination of senior officials, to undermine Iran's national security.
