Dozens of activists organized a protest in front of the Municipal Theater in the capital, Tunis, in solidarity with Palestinian factions and in rejection of the ongoing Zionist genocide in the Gaza Strip, which has been ongoing for 644 days.
Dozens of activists participated in the protest called for by the Palestine Supporters Association in Tunisia last Saturday evening under the slogan "The resistance crushes the enemy... Khan Younis writes the epic and Beit Hanoun is the graveyard of invaders."
On the sidelines of the protest, association member Riadh al-Zahafi said, "This is the association's 91st protest since October 7, 2023, and we wanted today's protest to be the voice of the resistance."
Al-Zahafi explained to Anadolu Agency that previous protests focused on "the starvation and siege to which the Palestinian people are subjected in Gaza."
He added, "Today, we wanted this protest to be the voice of the Palestinian resistance, which continues to negotiate under fire, inflicts pain on the Zionist enemy, and achieves great heroism on the battlefield."
Regarding the escalating Israeli targeting of aid-seekers in Gaza, a member of the association said, "The Zionist entity and the United States behind it, having failed to achieve their war goals, have found no choice but to target defenseless civilians through death traps (aid distribution centers)."
Al-Zahafi pointed out that "the American company is trying, through aid, to recruit agents or inflict pain on the resistance through its sons, women, and martyrs."
He described the targeting of defenseless civilian aid-seekers in Gaza as "brutal and cowardly".
During the protest, demonstrators raised slogans calling for an end to the genocide in the Strip, as well as others reiterating support for the Palestinians, most notably: "The people want to stop the genocide," "No recognition, no negotiation, no peace," "Resistance... no peace, no compromise," and "With our souls and blood, we will redeem Palestine."
