Works Sector, Transport Authority, & Heavy Transport Offices in Hodeida organize event commemorating Ashura

The Works Sector, the branch of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs, and the Heavy Transport Offices in Al Hodeida province organized a speech event on Sunday commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), under the slogan "Hiyah minna al-thillah" (Never to Humiliation).

During the event, the Governorate’s Deputy for Services Affairs, Muhammad Halisi, emphasized that commemorating this occasion represents an annual opportunity to draw upon the values and principles embodied by Imam Hussein in Karbala, foremost among them dignity, honor, and steadfastness in truth.

He noted that the injustice suffered by Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) remains alive in the conscience of the nation, and that commemorating his martyrdom reflects the awareness of the Yemeni people of their religious and historical responsibilities in the face of tyranny and arrogance.

Halisi praised the engagement of the Works Sector, the Transport Authority, and the Heavy Transport Offices in this occasion, stressing that the Hussaini path is the compass of free people throughout history and that adhering to the values of the Hussaini revolution strengthens the resilience of the Yemeni people.

He commended the steadfastness of the Yemeni people and their unwavering stance alongside the nation’s causes, particularly the Palestinian cause, affirming that Karbala is relived today in Gaza, Sana’a, and all fronts of confrontation against forces of arrogance.

The event was attended by Engineer Muhammad Muthanna, head of the Works Sector, and Ahmad Sharafuddin, Director of the Transport Authority. The deputy heads of the Works Sector, Muhammad Saad and Muhammad Sawmal, emphasized that Ashura reignites the revolutionary spirit and jihadist fervor of the nation, reviving awareness in the face of tyrants and oppressors.

They highlighted the importance of recalling the values for which Imam Hussein rose up, linking them to the Yemeni people’s struggle against aggression and their resistance to the American-Zionist project in the region.

For his part, Abbas Abdulsalam.delivered a speech on behalf of the Transport Sector, stating that the path of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) represents the ideal model in confronting injustice and deviation, as reflected in the Yemeni people’s rejection of foreign domination and hegemony.

He affirmed that the ongoing challenges faced by the Yemeni people strengthen their conviction in adhering to the Hussaini path and continuing the journey of dignity and freedom until victory and independence are achieved.
