Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Abdullah Al-Amir, met today with the Chairwoman of the National Women’s Committee, Dr. Ghada Abu Talib, to discuss aspects related to supporting and empowering women in the oil and mineral sectors.
The meeting addressed the possibility of implementing training and qualification programs specifically for women, activating partnerships in awareness-raising, capacity-building, and professional empowerment.
During the meeting, the Minister of Oil and Minerals praised the role of the National Women’s Committee in community development and in empowering women at all levels. He emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to involving women in various areas of work and to providing a supportive work environment that enhances their skills and professional status.
For her part, the Chairwoman of the National Women’s Committee reviewed the programs and initiatives the committee is carrying out in the field of women’s economic and social empowerment. She commended the Ministry’s role and positive engagement regarding women’s empowerment and expressed hope for further coordination to strengthen women’s participation in vital sectors.
