Russian Defense Ministry announces massive strike on Ukrainian military-industrial facilities

The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Saturday that its armed forces carried out a massive strike targeting facilities of Ukraine’s military-industrial complex.

In a statement, the ministry said: "Last night, the Russian armed forces launched a large-scale precision air strike using long-range high-precision weapons, hitting Ukrainian military-industrial facilities in Lviv, Kharkiv, and Lutsk, as well as the infrastructure of a military airfield. The objectives of the strike were achieved, with all designated targets hit."

The ministry added that units of Russia’s "South" military group had neutralized over 185 Ukrainian soldiers in a single day, according to Sputnik news agency. "The enemy lost more than 185 troops, along with vehicles and an ammunition depot," the statement read.

It further noted that "units of the 'South' group advanced their positions, inflicting personnel and material losses on five mechanized, assault, and airmobile brigades of the Ukrainian armed forces, as well as a National Guard brigade, in the areas of Shcherbinovka, Seversk, Chasov Yar, Serebryanka, Konstantinovka, Platonovka, Zakutnoye, Belaya Gora, Aleksandr-Shultino, and Kliban-Bik in the Donetsk People’s Republic."

Additionally, Russian tactical aviation, attack drones, missile troops, and artillery reportedly struck Ukrainian territorial recruitment centers, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian forces and foreign mercenaries across 133 locations.

Meanwhile, units of Russia’s "East" military group continued advancing into Ukrainian defensive lines, with Kyiv’s forces losing over 190 soldiers in a day. "The 'East' group inflicted losses on a Ukrainian mechanized brigade, a marine brigade, and two territorial defense brigades in the areas of Novogrigorovka (Dnipropetrovsk region), Karl Marx (Donetsk People’s Republic), Timirovka, Poltavka, Gulyaipole, and Malinovka (Zaporizhzhia region)," the ministry stated.
"Ukrainian forces suffered over 190 casualties, along with an armored combat vehicle, 10 cars, an artillery piece, and two electronic warfare stations."*

Similarly, units of Russia’s "Center" group improved their positions along the frontline, with Ukrainian forces losing up to 450 troops in 24 hours. "The 'Center' group inflicted damage on Ukrainian heavy, mechanized, guard, and airborne assault brigades, as well as a marine infantry brigade and a National Guard brigade, in the areas of Dimitrov, Krasnoarmeysk, Zverevo, Odachnoye, Muravka, Petrovskoye (Donetsk People’s Republic), and Vilya and Novopodgorodnoye (Dnipropetrovsk region)," the ministry reported. "Ukrainian formations lost up to 450 soldiers, an armored combat vehicle, five cars, and a field gun."
