Gaza - Saba:
The Government Media Office in Gaza stated that the tight blockade on the Gaza Strip enters its 103rd consecutive day today, since the Zionist enemy forces closed all crossings and prevented the entry of food, medicine, and fuel, in one of the most severe collective blockade crimes in modern times.
In a press statement today, Saturday, received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the office added: "The famine striking the Gaza Strip is intensifying day by day. Over the past three days, we have recorded dozens of deaths due to the lack of food and basic medical supplements. This is an extremely cruel humanitarian situation, as the enemy persists in its crime by completely preventing the entry of flour, baby formula, and nutritional and medical supplies and supplements. This is a systematic policy to starve the population, especially children, and deprive them of the most basic necessities of life."
He pointed out that the number of children who have died from malnutrition so far has reached 67, while more than 650,000 children under the age of five face a real and immediate danger of acute malnutrition in the coming weeks, out of a population of 1.1 million children in the Gaza Strip.
He said that approximately 1.5 million people in Gaza are currently experiencing catastrophic hunger, while 96% of the Strip's population suffers from severe levels of food insecurity, including more than one million children. This is a shocking reality that reflects the scale of the unprecedented humanitarian tragedy in Gaza.
He condemned in the strongest terms these organized crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against more than 2.4 million people in the Gaza Strip.
He held the Zionist enemy fully responsible for the crimes of genocide and systematic starvation. He also held the countries complicit with it, especially the United States, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, morally and legally responsible, as well as the countries complicit through their silence and their international partners who deliberately obstruct any path to halt this genocide.
He stressed that, as we issue this stark warning of the worsening humanitarian catastrophe, we call on the international community, Arab and Islamic countries, and all free people around the world to take urgent and immediate action to break the siege on Gaza, immediately deliver food, medicine, and humanitarian aid, and save the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip from starvation at a time when hunger is killing what the machine of war and genocide has failed to kill.
