Doha - Saba:

Informed sources revealed to Al Jazeera on Friday evening that the "repositioning map" presented by the Israeli delegation during the ceasefire negotiations leaves the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, entirely under Israeli control and paves the way for the implementation of an organized displacement plan against Palestinians.

The sources explained that the map presented indicates that the enemy seeks to make the city of Rafah a concentration area for displaced persons, in preparation for their displacement to Egypt or by sea, in a move described as an extension of forced displacement policies.

According to the same sources, the map encompasses a deep strip of Gaza Strip land along the eastern border, extending up to three kilometers in some areas.

Israeli control also includes large parts of Beit Lahia and the village of Umm al-Nasr, most of Beit Hanoun, and the entire town of Khuza'a, east of Khan Yunis.

In Gaza City, the new Israeli redeployment lines extend close to Al-Sikka Street in the neighborhoods of Shuja'iyya, Al-Tuffah, and Al-Zeitoun, while in the central Gaza Strip, they reach the edges of Salah al-Din Street near Deir al-Balah and Al-Qarara.

Estimates indicate that the Israeli "repositioning" map cuts off approximately 40% of the entire geographical area of the Gaza Strip, raising serious concerns about the imposition of a new displacement reality that will empty the Strip of its residents and undermine any lasting political solution.
