Hamas affirmed Wednesday that its leadership "continues its intensive and responsible efforts to ensure the success of the ongoing round of negotiations, seeking to reach a comprehensive agreement that ends the aggression against the Palestinian people, secures the free and safe entry of humanitarian aid, and alleviates the worsening suffering in the Gaza Strip."
The movement said in a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba): "As part of its commitment to the success of the ongoing efforts, the movement has shown the necessary flexibility and agreed to the release of ten prisoners."
The movement added: "The core points remain under negotiation, most notably: the flow of aid, the withdrawal of the enemy from the Gaza Strip, and the provision of real guarantees for a permanent ceasefire."
It explained: "Despite the difficulty of negotiations on these issues so far due to the enemy's intransigence, we continue." Work seriously and positively with mediators to overcome obstacles, end our people's suffering, and guarantee their aspirations for freedom, security, and a dignified life.
