Hodeida - Saba:
The Telecommunications Corporation, the Postal Authority, and the Telemen Company in Hodeida province organized a speech event on Wednesday to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), under the slogan "Hiyah minna al-thillah" (Never to Humiliation).

During the event, the province’s Deputy for Services Affairs, Muhammad Halisi, emphasized the importance of drawing lessons from Imam Hussein’s revolution and his stance in defending truth and confronting injustice. He noted that commemorating this occasion reflects the Yemeni people’s connection to the values and principles for which Imam Hussein sacrificed.

Halisi highlighted that Imam Hussein’s sacrifices have served as a beacon for all freedom seekers throughout history, extending the path of the prophets and messengers. This, he said, strengthens the nation’s awareness of the dangers of deviation and submission to tyrannical forces.

He stressed the nation’s need to return to the path of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the revolution of Imam Hussein (AS) in the face of global tyranny, reinforcing the culture of martyrdom and dignity while instilling in younger generations the values of sacrifice and justice.

The event was attended by the Directors of the Telecommunications Corporation, Ali Makki, and the Postal Authority branch, Hussein Habib. Murad Al-Jabri pointed out that commemorating Ashura is part of the faith-based identity and an opportunity to reaffirm a principled stance against arrogance and oppression.

He noted that the commemoration is among the cultural activities that deepen employees’ awareness and connect them to the broader issues of the nation.

For his part, Sheikh Ali Adhabi, Vice President of Dar Al-Uloom Al-Shar’iyya University, discussed the profound significance of Imam Hussein’s revolution as a manifestation of Quranic consciousness against tyranny. He emphasized that the lessons of Karbala remain alive in the nation’s conscience and resistance.

Meanwhile, Abdulrahman Al-Warfi, head of the Guidance Sector in the province, stated that commemorating this occasion reinforces a culture of rejecting domination and reminds the nation of its responsibility to confront oppressors and adhere to the path of Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

He affirmed that the Yemeni people’s connection to Imam Hussein reflects their Quranic identity and practical stance against arrogance and aggression.
