Fans of the Iraqi club Zakho expressed their deep sorrow over the passing of Portuguese star Diogo Jota, the former Liverpool player, through a touching tribute during their team's match against Newroz.
This came during the quarterfinals of the Iraq Football Cup, held yesterday, Tuesday.

The fans raised a large banner bearing the image of the late player, who died in a horrific car accident in the Spanish province of Zamora last Thursday, at the age of 28, alongside his brother, André Silva.
The banner read in Arabic and Kurdish: "Jota... Death has taken your body, but you will remain immortal in our hearts."
