Khan Younis - Saba:

Thousands of residents of the Khan Younis camp in the southern Gaza Strip have refused to evacuate their homes and camps despite the ongoing threats of the enemy army. This is amid tragic humanitarian conditions, most notably the lack of safe or accessible housing in the Mawasi area, which is now crowded with tens of thousands of displaced persons.

Camp residents told Palestine Online on Wednesday that "enemy forces dropped leaflets and sent messages via social media and phone calls, urging residents to evacuate the camp immediately and head to the Mawasi area, which they described as a 'safe zone.'" However, residents categorically rejected these instructions.

Camp residents confirmed that the Mawasi area, which has hosted tens of thousands of displaced people since the start of the Israeli aggression, is no longer able to accommodate any more, given the deteriorating health and environmental conditions there and the lack of basic necessities of life.

The evacuation orders came as part of the enemy's expanding genocidal crimes in various areas in the southern Gaza Strip, which have resulted in more deaths and injuries, and the destruction of homes and infrastructure. This has forced thousands of families to be forcibly displaced to areas that have become overcrowded camps lacking even the most basic necessities of life.

The Mawasi area is located west of Khan Younis and was previously declared a "safe humanitarian zone" by enemy forces. However, the reality on the ground reveals otherwise. Exactly.

Muhammad al-Sawalihi, a resident of Khan Younis camp, said, "They want us to leave under bombardment into the unknown. Where can we go?" Al-Mawasi is no longer habitable. There are tents upon tents, no water, no food, and no healthcare. We cannot leave our homes and go into the unknown."

He added, "The enemy has published evacuation orders twice on its pages, demanding that we leave our homes and head to Al-Mawasi, but no one responded to them because there is no place at sea."
