SANAA – SABA:
A meeting was held today in Sana’a, chaired by Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Mohammed Al-Mawlid, to review the matrix of recommendations issued by the Central Organization for Control and Auditing (COCA), focusing on ways to improve the Ministry’s performance and address any shortcomings or irregularities.
The meeting included deputy ministers, general directors, relevant Ministry staff, representatives of the Youth and Sports Welfare Fund, and the accompanying oversight team assigned by COCA. Minister Al-Mawlid praised the professional and supervisory role played by the Central Organization, particularly its proactive oversight approach, which contributes to correcting performance and strengthening principles of transparency within state institutions.
He affirmed the Ministry’s readiness to cooperate with the Organization and benefit from its observations and recommendations to improve and develop administrative and financial systems. He emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to implementing proposed corrective actions within the specified timeline, in alignment with the objectives and direction of the Government of Change and Development.
For his part, COCA team leader Othman Al-Imad reiterated the Organization’s full support for the Ministry’s efforts to fulfill its duties under the national reform program.
The meeting concluded with a recommendation for all relevant parties to adhere to the matrix of corrective actions and recommendations submitted by the oversight team, and to implement them within the established timeframe.
