Gaza – SABA:
The Martyr Omar Al-Qassem Forces, the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), announced that it detonated a powerful explosive device targeting an Israeli tank in the center of Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the Qassem Forces said:
“This afternoon, we detonated a high-explosive device targeting an Israeli tank near Al-Akkad Park in the Al-Mahatta neighborhood, striking it directly.”
The operation comes as part of the ongoing response by Palestinian resistance factions to what they describe as the genocidal war waged by the Israeli military — with U.S. support — against the people of Gaza since October 7, 2023. The war has included killings, starvation, destruction, and displacement, in defiance of international appeals and International Court of Justice orders to halt the aggression.
