Chelsea Football Club announced on Saturday the signing of young English winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens from Borussia Dortmund.
The player’s contract with the English club extends until 2032 in a deal worth 55 million pounds sterling equivalent to 75 million US dollars.
Gittens joins Chelsea on a seven-year contract but will not be eligible to play in the Club World Cup due to his previous participation with Dortmund in the tournament.
He played 76 Bundesliga matches with Dortmund scoring 12 goals and also featured in the UEFA Champions League.
The 20-year-old becomes Chelsea’s third signing this summer following the acquisitions of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town and João Pedro from Brighton
