The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) announced a modest increase in global food commodity prices in June, driven by higher prices for meat, dairy products, and vegetable oils.
According to FAO, the organization's Food Price Index, which tracks monthly changes in the prices of a basket of globally traded basic food commodities, averaged 128 points in June, up 0.5 percent from the previous May.
