Gaza - Saba:
The Himaya Center for Human Rights praised on Thursday evening the decision by the Swiss Federal Supervisory Authority for Charities to dissolve the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), citing grave violations committed by the organization in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of civilians and the injury of thousands while they were attempting to receive humanitarian aid.
On June 15, 2025, the center had submitted a legal complaint to the Swiss authorities through an international legal team, requesting an investigation into the foundation on charges related to violations of international humanitarian law and suspected crimes against humanity. The complaint included documented evidence of the politicization and militarization of humanitarian aid, in contravention of fundamental humanitarian principles.
Himaya affirmed its commitment to continue legal efforts to hold those responsible accountable, and to pursue the case of the killing of civilians waiting for aid before the Swiss judiciary and the International Criminal Court.
