Cairo - Saba:
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty affirmed on Thursday that "there are intensive Egyptian efforts to secure the passage of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip."
In a phone call with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Abdel Aty said that "Egypt's position is firm on the necessity of implementing an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and releasing prisoners," noting that there are "intensive contacts with the relevant parties to consolidate the ceasefire between Iran and Israel and resume negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program, which would contribute to de-escalation."
